It was the first time I actually held a iPad in my hands, tapped on the screen, and tried to down load some apps, it was fun. Any new electronics device is fun, but is it practical? The i-pad (at least the one I played with) was slow, I never did get to download an app for some reason or another, and because there were very few apps on it, seemed rather limited. The i-pad had a good feel to it, not cheap, but well built.
In a Apple iPad review, Engadget states that "The name iPad is a killing word -- more than a product -- it's a statement, an idea, and potentially a prime mover in the world of consumer electronics". It would be a statement and thats about it, a keep up with the Jones's. My experience, although limited, wasn't that good, definatley not all the hype. It is a iPhone on steroids, but you can't call the guys over for Monday Night Football on a iPad!
